Italy - FPT Industrial, the Turin-based engine production and development division of CNH Industrial NV, was a significant contributor enabling the Iveco S-WAY NP 460 to take the ‘Sustainable Truck of the Year 2021’ award in the Tractor category. FPT claims its latest generation of Cursor 13 Natural Gas is the most powerful, 100% natural gas engine for commercial vehicles on the market – delivering maximum power of 338kW/460Hp at 1,900 rev/min and torque of 2,000Nm at 1,100 rev/min for diesel-like performance.

FPT said it had sold over 55,000 units worldwide claiming the engine provides reliability and a longer product lifecycle while being the only natural gas engine with 1,600-km autonomy and the new reference in consumption with 4.12km per kg of gas. The NG engines reduce CO2 emissions whether with the compressed or the liquefied form of Natural Gas. They can also run on biomethane, bringing emissions down to almost zero.
