JOST rolls out tyre inflation system

Germany – Following the launch at Solutrans in November 2019, Jost-Werke GmbH of Neu-Isenburg has been rolling out an easy assemble ‘Plug & Play’ tyre inflation system with fast installation to reduce costs for truck operators. It is compatible with all common trailers and Jost DCA axles and claims to maintain pressure to raise fuel efficiency, reduce maintenance time and increase safety.
Connected via the vehicle’s air supply through the control unit, an airline is fitted to each axle with air flowing through the axle beam. A pre-assembled stator and rotor is inserted through each wheel spindle providing the auxiliary air supply. The air supply simply connects to the tyre valve with a secure connection maintained by a Jost hub cap.
