MAN starts series production of Lion’s City E

Germany / Poland – October 2020 saw MAN Truck & Bus AG of Munich, Germany start series production of its 12m solo version of its Lion’s City E bus at its dedicated city bus plant at MAN Bus Sp. z o. o. in Starachowice, Poland. MAN says production of the all-electric articulated version of the Lion’s City E is scheduled to start during the first half of 2021.
The first 12m solo vehicles are being delivered to long term e-bus prototype testing, research and development public transportation operating partner, Hamburg-Holstein (VHH). 17 Lion’s City E buses are being delivered by the end of the year. Another city ordering the Lion’s City E is Malmö, Sweden, where Nobina Sverige AB has placed an order for 22.
