USA - Navistar International Corporation of Lisle, Illinois, has launched its new generation of HX Series Class 8 truck and tractor models for the construction and vocational markets in North America. The new HX is the first product released under the company’s Navistar 4.0 strategy and its Project Compass initiative – which focuses on flexible, modular design.

The new HX Series is available in both a set-forward axle HX520 and a set-back axle HX620. Both are now available for order and deliveries will start early in 2021. The HX features a new cab which is designed and validated to perform in the most punishing vocational applications. It comes with a durable three-piece, crack resistant hood specifically engineered to offer outstanding front-forward visibility. Backed by rigorous testing, the extreme-duty cab is structurally reinforced in key locations to ensure long life and is protected by ChemGuard, LineX and International Truck’s own topcoat process making it nearly impenetrable to salt. Its high-strength steel fabrication results in no weight penalty and carries a 10-year anti-corrosion and perforation warranty.
