Ashok Leyland upgrades Falcon Super and launches GAZL bus in Saudi Arabian virtual launch

Chennai / Saudi Arabia / UAE - Ashok Leyland Ltd of Chennai, India, a subsidiary of the Hinduja Group, has launched two new passenger bus models – a 7m midi-bus, called GAZL1 and the latest version of the 11m Falcon Super2 with a Euro IV (EGR-only) engine for the markets of the Middle East. The launch of the two vehicles took place at Ras Al Khaimah, UAE and virtually in Saudi Arabia in partnership with Western Auto Co Ltd of Dammam, Ashok Leyland’s exclusive dealer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

Nitin Seth, COO, Ashok Leyland Ltd, said: “Falcon Super and GAZL comes from our state-of-the-art manufacturing base in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, and are made to the specific parameters of the GCC transportation and mobility stipulations, with in-built advanced technology and safety solutions, for a comfortable journey. The Ras Al Khaimah plant which exports buses to Europe, Africa and the Middle East was established in 2007. It has manufactured over 20,000 buses so far, a large share of it plying on the roads of GCC countries, including KSA. Our plant in RAK, which is increasing Ashok Leyland’s market share in GCC countries, will play a key role in achieving our vision to be in the top ten global CV manufacturers.”
