Hyundai to make hydrogen fuel-cells in China

South Korea / China - Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) of Seoul, South Korea in February began construction of a plant in China to manufacture hydrogen fuel cell systems, in anticipation of rapid growth in automotive demand for propulsion using this alternative fuel.

This followed the signing in January by HMC of an investment contract with the government of China’s Guangdong province, to establish a fuel cell system production facility in the provincial capital Guangzhou.
