Malaysia - Light van and minibus sales tumble almost 45% in 2020

Malaysia - The Malaysian market for light vans and minibuses fell by almost 19% to 1,192 units in the fourth quarter of 2020 from already weak-year earlier sales of 1,369 units, resulting in a fall of almost 45% to 3,093 units over the full year from 5,586 units in 2019.

Toyota led this segment last year with sales falling by just over 23% to 1,449 units, while Hyundai reported an almost 54% decline to 604 units and Nissan’s sales plunged over 71% to 561 units.
