Thailand - Sales of medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles over 6 tons gvw are estimated to have declined by over 23% to 19,589 units in 2020 from 25,575 units in the previous year, reflecting declining investment, trade and domestic consumption over the full year. Isuzu continued to lead this segment last year despite a 25% drop in sales to 8,984 units, while Hino’s sales were down by just under 19% at 8,244 units.

Sales of other brands, notably Scania, Volvo, UD Trucks, Mitsubishi-Fuso, and several Chinese brands combined are estimated to have declined by close to 32% to 2,361 units.
