Vietnam - Bus and coach sales continue to suffer

Vietnam - Sales of medium and large buses and coaches fell by over 34% to 688 units in the fourth quarter of 2020 from already depressed year-earlier sales of 1,048 units, resulting in a 57% drop in full-year sales to 1,558 units.

Market leader Truong Hai saw its full-year sales plunge by over 64% to 793 units, while second-placed SAMCO also underperformed – with sales falling by 50% to 302 units. Isuzu reported the smallest loss, of close to 22% to 296 units, while fourth-placed Vidabus’ sales plunged by over 63% to 296 units.
