UK – Stoke-on-Trent trailer manufacturer, Don-Bur (Bodies & Trailers) Ltd has, in conjunction with long term customer, Royal Mail, developed a new lifting deck trailer design with a lifting roof, for which the Royal Mail has placed an order for 45 tri-axle units.

Don-Bur says the newly built trailer design provides a 30% increase in cage capacity in comparison with the previous three-quarter-length lifting deck step-frame designs and offers fuel saving of up to 7%. Don-Bur claims the design can also eliminate one in every three trips and cut CO2 output by 7.8 tonnes per trailer per year.
