UK – The electric bus partnership between Alexander Dennis Ltd (ADL) of Larbert, UK (body) and BYD (CO) UK Ltd of Iver, UK (e-chassis) has expanded its city bus offering with the introduction of a shorter version of the BYD ADL Enviro400EV double decker. With its more compact wheelbase, the 10.3m long model has a tighter turning circle, increasing manoeuvrability when navigating congested roads and corners.

The partnership first launched the BYD ADL Enviro400EV double deck in 2019. Since then, more than 450 units of the standard 10.8m long variant have been sold to operators in London and other UK cities. Operators will now have the option to purchase a new 10.3m version. This new length is achieved with a wheelbase that has been shortened by 500mm from 5.9m to a compact 5.4m.
