Woodall Nicholson expands with fourth group division to ramp-up technical capabilities

UK - Specialist vehicle design and manufacturing group, Woodall Nicholson Holdings Ltd1 (WNHL) of Bolton, UK, which builds light- and medium-duty commercial vehicles under various brand names (which include Mellor Bus, Trekka Bus and VCS, see below) has added a fourth division to its group portfolio. The new Technology Division provides a dedicated innovation and technical platform, which will allow wider market reach for its existing and new products, while specialising in advanced technology in practical applications.

The Technology Division will be spearheaded by the group’s evolving ProMech Technologies Ltd2 company in Scarborough, drawing on core competences in driveline engineering, innovative low-floor chassis design and eMobility solutions. The new division will also benefit from the appointment of John Randerson, who becomes chief technology officer for Woodall Nicholson with responsibility for accelerating technical advances across all its vehicle manufacturing divisions.
