Brazil - Production of coach output slid by 67% during he first quarter as the market for commuter, tourism and long-distance coach travel dried up with worker transport operations increasing with socially distanced compliance limiting passenger numbers per vehicle. Output fell to just under 400 units compared with 1,217 in Q1, 2020.

Production of city buses actually increased by half a per cent in the first three months of 2021, reflecting annual investment programmes in BRT by city and state authorities and a strengthened export market. ANFAVEA reported output of 4,779 citybus units against 4,757.
