Maxion expanding European CV wheel production in Turkey

Turkey - Maxion Jantas (Maxion Jantas Jant Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S.) of Manisa, Turkey - the Turkish subsidiary of Maxion Wheels GmbH of Königswinter, Germany (a division of Iochpe-Maxion S.A. of São Paulo, Brazil) - has completed construction of the buildings and infrastructure of a new 21,000 sq m commercial vehicle (CV) steel wheel manufacturing plant in Manisa, Turkey. This follows an announcement some two years ago in 2019 by Maxion Wheels, and its local Turkish joint venture partner, Inci Holding A.S. of Izmir, Turkey of its purchase of development land to expand operations in Turkey and of a ceremony held to mark the start of construction.

Maxion Jantas says completion of the facility expansion is scheduled for the first quarter of 2022, increasing Maxion Jantas’ total potential production capacity to three million CV steel wheels a year.
