Michelin launches new tyre range for electric buses

France / UK – Tyre manufacturer, Michelin of Clement-Ferrand, France, has launched its first range of dedicated electric bus tyres with the introduction of the new Michelin X InCity EV Z for the original equipment and replacement markets. Initially purposely-designed for electric vehicles (EVs), the tyre also provides superb levels of efficiency to traditional buses.
The new tyres are said to offer excellent safety, longevity and load capacity, while helping operators to reduce their environmental footprint by reducing rolling resistance, which Michelin says is key to maximising range for EVs.
