Russia’s LCV market contracts by 6.1% in 2020

Russia – During 2020, Russia registered a total of 97,882 light-duty commercial vehicles with gross vehicle weight of up to 5t, which was 6.1% fewer than the 104,224 units registered in 2019, according to statistical data provided by Avtostat Info.

LCV registrations by the three Russian brands totalled 65,152 units (GAZ: 43,229, Lada: 10,060 units and UAZ: 11,863) or 66.5% of the total, which compares with 69,933 units in 2019 (67%). Sales of foreign brands contracted by just 4.6% from 34,288 to 32,730 units.
