Indonesia - The Indonesian market for commercial vehicles over 2 tons gvw declined by just over 4% to 29,867 units in the first quarter of 2021 after plunging by 25% to 31,209 units in the same period of last year, according to www.AsiaMotorBusiness.com analysis of the industry’s wholesale data.

The Indonesian economy continued to contract in the first quarter of the year, by 0.7% year-on-year after declining by 2.2% in the fourth quarter of last year, despite a pick-up in export activity - with ongoing restrictions on international tourism continuing to hold back the domestic economy.
