Hino to launch next-generation Dutro Z EV in 2022

Japan - Hino Motors Ltd of Hino, Japan in April announced it has developed a next-generation ultra-low-floor, front-wheel drive light-duty electric truck with a walk-through van-style configuration designed to be both user-friendly and emissions-free.
The Dutro Z EV is designed as a last-mile, flexible delivery truck and is scheduled to be introduced in the Japanese market in early summer 2022. With this truck, Hino is targeting growing demand for e-commerce and the increasingly diverse nature of cargo being delivered to people’s homes and places of work. It also addresses the need to cut carbon emissions to help Japan meet its commitment to be carbon-neutral by 2050.
