Irizar eMobility supplies nine 18m ieTrams to TMB in Barcelona

Spain – Irizar eMobility of Aduna has supplied Barcelona operator Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB), with nine articulated 18m ieTrams, they join four Irizar electric buses supplied to TMB in 2019.
The new 18m ieTram models were specified with four doors, 36 seats, a driver's seat, an area for wheelchairs and an area for pushchairs. They are driven by a 236kW Alconza electric motor (Alconza is an Irizar Group company) and powered by Irizar lithium-ion batteries. They can be rapid charged in four minutes, during service, using the ultra-rapid pantograph fast charging infrastructure installed at two points along the route.
