Isuzu completes acquisition of UD Trucks from Volvo

Japan - Isuzu Motors Ltd, headquartered in the Shinagawa district of Tokyo, completed the acquisition of UD Trucks Corporation of Ageo, Saitama prefecture, from the Volvo Group on April 1, 2021, with the two groups looking to move ahead with their strategic alliance in the global truck sector.

Isuzu’s Naoto Hakamata was appointed chairman of UD Trucks, replacing Volvo Group executive vice-president who stood down from this post at the end of March.
