Thailand - The Thai commercial vehicle market over 2 tons gvw declined by 2.9% to an estimated 103,491 units in the first quarter of 2021 from weak year-earlier first quarter sales of 106,561 units, according to data compiled by www.AsiaMotorBusiness.com from various industry sources.

The Thai economy contracted for the fifth straight quarter in January-March 2021, by 2.6% year-on-year according to preliminary figures released by the government, after shrinking by 4.2% in the fourth quarter of last year – reflecting mainly sluggish domestic consumption and a negative contribution from external trade.
