Toyota to deepen logistics collaboration with Aeon

Japan - Toyota Motor Corporation of Toyota City, Japan and Japanese retail group, Aeon Global SCM Company Ltd of Mihama-Ku, Chiba​, Japan in April agreed to expand further their collaboration to develop systems that would help improve the efficiency of Japan’s logistics industry. 

The partners stated they were looking to further integrate Aeon’s retail logistics network with the carmaker’s expertise in connected and electrified powertrain technologies and the Toyota Production System (TPS) to develop solutions to the many transportation sector problems. Notably they are looking to address personnel shortages, achieve carbon neutrality, create mechanisms designed to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain and build connected systems.
