The Netherlands - DAF Trucks NV of Eindhoven, has revealed its entirely new line up of trucks, including new cabins called the XG and XG+. The new XF, XG and XG+ models offer 10% improved fuel efficiency, a full suite of passive and active safety features and the next level of luxury in truck design. The New Generation DAF enters production in October.
The latest XF features a full new cab design with a 160mm elongation or ‘nose’ at the cab front for improved aerodynamics, offering higher energy efficiency and lower CO2 emissions. It has a 75mm lower cab datum compared with the former XF Super Space Cab and Space Cab. In combination with a larger wrap-around windscreen and ultra-low belt line, direct vision is enhanced. Standing height in the new XF is between 1,900 and 2,075mm, depending on the position within the cab.
