Scania supplies 562 new gas-powered Scania bi-articulated buses

Colombia / Brazil - Scania Latin America Ltda of São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo, Brazil in May completed delivery of 562 Scania F340HA 8x2 CNG Euro VI bi-articulated chassis as part of the largest fleet renewal programme at the TransMilenio Integrated Public Transport System (SITP) in Bogotá, the capital city of Colombia. STIP is the largest Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system in the world capable of mobilizing 2.5 million citizens a day.

This was the biggest chassis sale ever made by Scania do Brasil and at 27 meters long constitutes the largest fleet of CNG Euro VI bi-articulated buses in the world. The Scania F340HA chassis are equipped with the Scania O9 CNG Euro VI engine match the latest Allison B516R transmission** supplied from its factory in São Bernardo do Campo, SP, Brazil.
