South America - Just over a year after the resumption of production and sales of trucks in the main countries of South America, the markets are showing signs of strong and sustained growth. Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Colombia in the first half of this year grew by more than 50% compared with the same period last year and, most importantly, the performance was also better than the previous semester in 2019.

Influential segments that have boosted sales of trucks, especially heavy ones, include agriculture with record harvests, mining, parcel delivery and transport distribution in general. In Brazil, the market grew by almost 50%, Argentina by 64.5%, Chile by 69.3%, Colombia by 115%, and Peru by 138.6%.
