USA – American industrial gases company, Air Products & Chemicals Inc of Allentown, Pennsylvania has signed a memorandum of understanding with drivetrains specialist, Cummins Inc of Columbus, Indiana to convert Air Products’ global fleet of approximately 2,000 trucks to zero-emission vehicles, using hydrogen fuel cells and full electric powertrains supplied by Cummins.

The two companies also announced collaboration to work together to promote the wider adoption of hydrogen as a fuel source and to increase the accessibility of sustainably-sourced hydrogen. In 2020, Cummins announced its intention to pursue sustainable methods for producing hydrogen, and it has already begun producing electrolysers for the generation of “green” hydrogen.
