By Bradley Osborne - 2nd August 2021

USA Hyzon Motors Inc of Rochester, New York, a manufacturer of hydrogen fuel cell-powered commercial vehicles, and RenewH2, a renewable hydrogen company based in Wyoming, USA, have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on the production and supply of liquid hydrogen.

RenewH2 is set to begin producing hydrogen at its facility in Wyoming in 2023, which it will generate from biogenic methane gas using steam methane reformer units. The company will then liquefy and deliver the hydrogen to fuel stations which RenewH2 is developing together with Hyzon. Initially, these are to be located near Hyzon’s main customers. The hydrogen fuel might be delivered to stations by a fleet of Class-8 Hyzon trucks, to be owned and operated by RenewH2, as per the agreement between the two firms.
