Bollinger Motors announces platforms for Class 4 and 5 electric CVs

USA Bollinger Motors Inc of Oak Park, Michigan, announced it is developing electric-powered platforms for Class 4 and Class 5 commercial vehicles, which will join a Class 3 platform already in development. 

The Class 4 and 5 platforms are part of Bollinger Motors’ projected line of ‘Chass-E’ electric vehicle platforms, with a payload of up to 9,000lbs (14,001–16,000lb gvw /  6,351–7,257kg) for Class 4 and up to 11,500lbs for Class 5 (16,001–19,500lb / (7,258–8,845kg). The platforms are to be powered by Bollinger Motors’ own 700-volt battery packs, which will be available in 140, 210, and 280kWh sizes, and will provide a range of over 200 miles. The wheelbase for the Class 4 platform will be between 159” and 177” and up to 190” for the Class 5 platform. They are designed for a range of applications, including last-mile delivery, freight and bucket trucks, and towing.
