USAOrange EV of Riverside, Missouri, celebrated a significant milestone as their line of electric terminal tractors surpassed a combined total of three million miles travelled and one million hours of operation.

The company also noted an uptime rate of 97% for trucks built since 2018 and 99% for trucks built since 2020, a marked improvement over diesel terminal tractors which, on average, spend 75-80% of their service time in operation. Orange EV commented that the usual causes of downtime and maintenance expenses in diesel terminal tractors are issues with the engine, transmission, and emissions control system, none of which are present in an electric powertrain.
