Portuguese plant to lead Fuso’s carbon-neutral drive

Japan / Portugal Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), based in Kawasaki, Japan, said its truck plant in Tramagal, Portugal, would become  carbon neutral by 2022, well ahead of its plants in Japan which are expected to achieve this status by 2039 at the latest – see below.

The Japanese truck-maker stated   that the Tramagal plant had progressively reduced its CO2 emissions in recent years and that it expected to make a further 50% reduction in 2021 before achieving  carbon neutrality  in 2022.
