Thermo King to release range of low- and zero-emission products for the cold chain

USA Thermo King Corporation, a manufacturer of transport temperature control systems based in Bloomington, Minnesota, has announced a portfolio of new and existing all-electric and hybrid products, called ‘evolve’, which includes refrigeration solutions for trucks and trailers. The company announced it plans to invest USD100m over the next three years to deliver a fully-electric product in every segment of the cold chain in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) by 2023 and in the Americas by 2025. 

The projected portfolio includes refrigeration units, such as the E-200, for small- and medium-size vans and trucks, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for buses, and auxiliary power units for trucks, all of which are fully electric.
