Germany – Automotive components company, Eberspächer Group of Esslingen, Germany, has announced its Emission Valve Generation 2 (EVG2) to help meet future nitrogen oxide standards.

Compared with its predecessor, it is 30% lighter and more resistant to exhaust gases up to 650 ºC (1200 ºF). By recirculating exhaust gas at the optimum back pressure, temperatures in the combustion chamber can be reduced, preventing the generation of excess nitrogen oxide that occurs when chamber temperatures are too high.
