Link extends range of ‘intelligent’ auxiliary suspension systems

USA – Suspension components manufacturer, Link Manufacturing Inc of Sioux Center, Iowa, has unveiled a 4-part product range of ‘intelligent’ auxiliary suspension systems designed for heavy-duty trucks. With field testing currently in progress, the 8K, 10K, 13.5K and 20K Road Optimized Innovations (ROI) Auxiliary Suspensions Systems are expected to be commercially available in 2022. The four product options offer different weight capacities, with the largest 20K option offering a limit of 20,000 lbs (9,070 kg).

Link developed its new, smart load-balancing suspensions using its proprietary ROI technology. First introduced in the company’s ROI Cabmate Cab Suspension in 2019, the ROI Auxiliary Suspension System senses and maintains optimal tire-to-ground pressure, reducing tire wear and maximizing fuel mileage.
