Scania introduces new tandem bogie for trucks with dis-engageable axle

Scania's new RB885 tandem bogie

Sweden – Scania AB of Södertälje, Sweden, has introduced a new tandem bogie designed for attachment to a tractor unit, with an axle which can be automatically disengaged by the driver in order to save on fuel costs, wear and tear, and to improve manoeuvrability.
