Netherlands – The Royal Terberg Group BV of IJsselstein, Netherlands, announced it is participating in the province of Utrecht’s hydrogen programme, intended to facilitate the adoption of hydrogen by commercial fleets, by trialling a prototype terminal tractor powered by hydrogen fuel cells.

The YT203-HR is the result of a collaboration between Terberg Benschop, the special vehicles division of the Terberg Group, and Zepp.solutions bv, a developer of fuel cell products based in Delft, the Netherlands. The vehicle is based off the battery-electric tractor, which is already in Terberg’s portfolio of products. It will be used primarily in shunting trucks. Following successful trials, Terberg aims to begin production of the terminal tractor in 2023.
