BYD signs e-van and e-truck sales agreement with Greek distributor

China / Greece – Automaker BYD Inc., based in Shenzhen, China, has announced a partnership with Petros Petropoulos to supply and service its electric trucks in Greece. The agreement between Petros Petropoulos and BYD Europe will see the rollout of electric trucks across Greece, initially from two main locations in Athens and Thessaloniki.

The BYD models on sale in Greece will include the ETP3 panel van designed for urban distribution operations, the ETM6 cargo truck for inner city distribution, the ETH8 distribution truck, and the EYT tractor for harbour terminals and site operations. The ETM6 inner city truck has a peak output of 150kW and 550 Nm of torque and can charge from 20-100% in one hour. The smaller ETP3 panel van features a peak output of 100kW and 180 Nm of torque, charging from 20-100% in 30 minutes. All of the vehicles are currently manufactured at the company’s plant in China, with its facility in Hungary capable of producing the trucks in the future.
