Daimler launches first-ever coach tailored specifically for the North American markets

USA – Daimler Coaches North America Inc, based in Fort Mill, South Carolina, has announced its first-ever coach designed exclusively for sale in North America under its Mercedes-Benz brand.

The new Tourrider is a 13.7m three-axle coach built on a stainless-steel platform. Featuring a Mercedes OM 471 engine, the 12.8 litre six-cylinder outputs 450 hp and a peak torque of 2300 Nm. The drivetrain will also be comprised of an Allison WTB 500R torque converter automatic transmission.
