Loop ships first complete fuel cell system to Slovakia for minibus trial

Canada / Slovakia – Hydrogen fuel cell solutions firm, Loop Energy Inc, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, has announced its first shipment of a complete fuel cell system to Mobility & Innovation a.s., a bus manufacturer in Slovakia.

Under the previously announced commercial agreement between the two companies, Loop will provide M&I with a complete fuel cell system to implement in its 8-metre composite bus. In addition to Loop’s S300 fuel cell module, the system includes a fully integrated cooling system designed to repurpose thermal energy produced by the fuel cell, using it to heat the cabin of the bus during operation. Loop claims this can increase the total usable energy output of the fuel cell system by 30%.
