The company announced its South Korean distributor, NGVI, has secured a supply contract for a hydrogen electric bus project with a second municipality in the country, this time with the county of Ulju. Loop will supply its trademarked hydrogen fuel cell system (eFlow).

The company has announced it is set to supply fuel cell systems to an unnamed hydrogen-electric fire truck OEM, marking a milestone for the company. Loop Energy will install two of its T505 fuel cell systems in the fire truck.  

This now extends Loop’s footprint beyond South Korea, Italy and Australia and now into Poland. The company calculates that its fuel cells are being used in 12,000 buses, a number that is only growing.

Under the agreement, revealed in May, Loop Energy will supply its fuel cell modules for integration into Mynt’s range of Purple H2 generators, designed to offer a clean energy alternative to diesel generators.

Loop Energy comes off a bumper 2022, which saw the company achieve significant growth, including quadrupling the number of purchase orders and doubling its customer base and number of unit sales.

The fuel cell uses a trapezoid flow field design enhancing temperature consistency responsible for increasing hydrogen production, durability and efficiency.

The companies include Italian bus manufacturer, Rampini Carlo SpA, South Korea’s NGVI Inc (Next Generation Vehicles International) and Australia’s, Aluminium Revolutionary Chassis Company (ARCC).

The clients include Opex SAS, a Colombian systems integrator of batteries and hydrogen fuel cells and Avia Ingeniería y Diseño S.L, a Spanish electric powertrain manufacturer.

The Canadian manufacturer of fuel cell systems is moving into a facility located in Grays, near the Port of London and OEM customer Tevva, marking Loop Energy’s entry into the European industrial economy.

The Canadian company will work together with Aluminium Revolutionary Chassis Company to develop and manufacture Australia’s first zero-emissions bus with a full-length aluminium chassis.

Fuel cell manufacturer Loop Energy Inc has been named as the winner of a tender process to supply Tevva Motors Ltd with its 50kW T505 fuel cell system for Tevva’s 7.5 tonne electric truck platform. The two companies state they are now working towards finalising a broader supply agreement.
