|

By Bradley Osborne - 4th October 2021

USAZero Electric Vehicles Inc, an electrification provider for Class 2 & 3 fleet vehicles based in Tempe, Arizona, signed a joint development agreement with KORE Power Inc, a developer of battery cell technologies based in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to design technologies to improve battery management systems for light- to medium-duty commercial electric vehicles.

ZEV is currently developing a battery cell passive thermal management system which is intended to conserve power and optimise battery performance. With KORE’s assistance, ZEV hopes to provide solutions in three key areas related to battery management: (1) thermal management; (2) safety; (3) module and pack configurability towards higher energy and power densities. In addition, KORE will supply ZEV with battery cells through 2030 as part of the agreement.
