Joint venture between Plug Power and FFI to build electrolyser plant in Australia

USA / Australia - Plug Power Inc, a hydrogen fuel-cell manufacturer based in Latham, New York, USA, has formed a joint venture with Fortescue Future Industries Pty Ltd (FFI), a green energy company and subsidiary of Fortescue Metals Group Ltd (which is headquartered in Perth, Western Australia), to build a Gigafactory in Aldoga, Queensland, Australia, for the manufacture of electrolysers required in the production of renewable hydrogen. Completion of the facility is expected by 2023.
