Joint venture between Guangxi Yuchai and Beijing Xing Shun Da to produce hydrogen fuel-cell systems

China – Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Company Ltd, an engineering company and subsidiary of China Yuchai International Ltd based in Yulin, Guangxi, has announced a joint venture between its Yuchai Xin-Lan New Energy Power Technology Co Ltd subsidiary and public transport operator Beijing Xing Shun Da Bus Co Ltd to develop systems for hydrogen energy in the municipalities of Beijing and Tianjin and the province of Hebei in northeast China.
As part of the agreement, the joint venture, which will be based in the Daxing District of Beijing, will primarily develop and manufacture fuel-cell powertrain systems for on- and off-road applications. It will also work on the development of components required in the manufacture of fuel-cell propulsion systems.
