Mixed results in Volvo Group’s Q3 2021 financial report; CEO points to disturbances in supply chains

Sweden – The Volvo Group of Gothenburg, Sweden, which owns Volvo Trucks Corporation, Volvo Bus Corporation, Mack Trucks Inc, and Renault Trucks SAS, released its financial report for the third quarter of 2021, covering every business segment including trucks, buses, construction equipment, marine engines, and financial services. 

The corporation reported net sales of SEK85.3bn, an increase of 11% compared to the same period of the previous year (SEK76.9bn). Its adjusted operating income was SEK9.4bn, an operating margin of 11%. It finished the quarter with 95,470 employees, of which 13,778 were hired on a temporary basis.
