Grammer emphasises importance of a proactive sustainability strategy

Germany – Global seat and interior parts manufacturer Grammer AG, based in Ursensollen, Germany, emphasised the importance of sustainability to the company’s  future growth strategy in an interview with Truck & Bus Builder. Günter Krämer, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Communication, CSR and Strategic Product Planning at Grammer, emphasised the new importance of a holistic approach to reducing the firm’s impact on the environment.

Grammer, Krämer explained, has introduced a sustainability initiative that it calls ‘make Grammer greener’; since the beginning of this year, the company has asked all its 14,000 employees to suggest new ways to improve the sustainability of its operations. These solutions range from the working culture of its employees through to the design and manufacturing of its products.
