Indian LCV bus sales increased in half yearly

India - In the minibus segment with seats more than 13 seats (GVW ≤ 5 tons no. of seats including the driver exceeding 13) sales rose by 112.4% to 4,108 units in the first half of FY 2021-22 from 1,934 units in first half of FY 2020-21. Production increased by a similar percentage of 100.5% to 4,487 units.
In minibus segment with fewer than 13 seats, sales rose by 235.7% from 1,179 units in first half of 2020-21 to 3,958 units in first half of FY 2021-22. Production increased by 62.5% despite a fall in export sales of 84.9%.
