Tata Motors & Tata Power set up EV charging infrastructure at fourth BEST depot in Mumbai

Bus Plug-in fast chargers at Backbay depot in Mumbai

Mumbai - Tata Group subsidiaries, Tata Motors Ltd of Mumbai, a commercial vehicle manufacturer, together with power company, Tata Power Co Ltd of Mumbai have set up vehicle charging stations at  BEST’s (Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport) Worli Depot, the fourth after Backbay, Malvani, and Shivaji Nagar depots in the city of Mumbai. Currently there are some 386 electric buses in operation with BEST, including models from Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Olectra and VECV. Both buses and charging infrastructure is being delivered in phased manner. Tata is not the only charging supplier; Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd, along with Tellus Power Green, are supplying 64 200kW DC fast chargers to Tata Power for charging stations being set up by them for charging the EV Buses supplied by Tata Motors.
