Equipmake and Beulas to trial new e-bus on Agrale chassis in London

UK / Spain / Argentina / Brazil – Electric drivetrain manufacturer Equipmake Ltd of Norwich, UK, and Spanish coachbuilder Beulas SAU of Arbúcies, Spain, have announced a partnership with London’s largest bus operator, Go-Ahead Group of Newcastle Upon Tyne Plc to provide in-service trials of the Beulas Jewel E double deck electric bus. The trials are expected to start in London in Q1 2022, with sales and full-scale production to commence later in the year.

Set to be assembled at the recently established manufacturing centre in Snetterton, the Jewel’s chassis will be provided from the Argentinian Buenos Aires-facility of Brazilian chassis builder Agrale, based in Caxias do Sul. The body of the bus is to be constructed at the Beulas facility in Girona, Spain.
