ZF’s Commercial Vehicle Solutions (CVS) division is shaping the future of commercial transportation ecosystems. ZF’s CVS division makes commercial vehicles safer, smarter and sustainable to achieve the vision of zero accidents and zero emissions. With its comprehensive technology portfolio, ZF CVS offers tailored solutions for every step of an OEM and fleets’ transformation journey, helping solve complex problems while creating long-term value. ZF CVS’s unique capability to digitalize commercial vehicle systems solutions and enhance vehicle intelligence is paving the way towards the commercial vehicle of the future. ZF CVS unites ZF’s former Commercial Vehicle Technology and Commercial Vehicle Control Systems divisions, the latter being formed following ZF’s acquisition of WABCO in Spring 2020.

CeTrax 2 is designed to seamlessly package within the space of the transmission of an ICE vehicle enabling manufacturers to offer ICE and electric powertrain in a single vehicle platform. The system integrates modular and in-house developed components which results in an innovative one-box solution enabling a light weight compact size, providing high power and torque with enhanced efficiency.

AxTrax 2

The AxTrax 2 e-axle is designed to replace the engine, transmission and conventional axle to electrify a commercial vehicle. ZF’s modular platform approach integrates in-house developed components into an innovative axle-based one-box solution. Light weight and compact, it fits into the space of the conventional axle, while providing high power and torque at enhanced efficiency. Furthermore, the minimized space requirements enable OEMs to reimagine the design of CV platforms.

AxTrax 2 LF

AxTrax 2 LF is ZF's latest addition to its in-house developed suite of e-drives specifically designed for city and intercity buses up to 29 tons. With a compact design, it can be installed into the same space as the previous low-floor e-axle, allowing for simple interchangeability with existing electric vehicle setups. The innovative solution comprises two stand-alone silicon carbide (SiC) inverters and an ECU, creating a comprehensive e-axle system for electric, hybrid, and trolley buses.

Description

The latest iteration of OnGuardMAX combines upgraded radar and camera technologies with an enhanced image processing module to improve vehicle and driver safety. Building on the success of previous versions, the latest iteration of OnGuardMAX includes several new safety enhancements such as a Moving Off Information System (MOIS) feature, which monitors the area directly in front of the vehicle where objects or pedestrians may be hard to see from the cab’s high vantage point during initial movement. e-comp Scroll

Description

Designed as much for efficiency as it is for smooth operation, the e-comp Scroll is an oil-free, low-noise (circa 67dB(A) at the nominal operation point of 250 liters per minute) and minimal vibration air compression system for medium and heavy-duty hybrid, battery electric and fuel cell trucks, buses and coaches. Powered by an integrated electric motor, the e-comp Scroll efficiently compresses air up to 12.5 bar system pressure in a single stage and can run at variable speeds to meet application demand. Using the motion of interlocking scrolls to compress air, it fulfils diverse customer requirements. Operating oil-free, the e-comp Scroll eliminates oil leaks as well as oil disposal needs, reducing TCO and protecting the environment. The system also features an inverter and liquid cooling shell, which maintains the discharge temperature below 90°C (194°F).
