Mitsubishi Fuso begins production of new Canter in Portugal

Japan / Germany / Portugal - Daimler Truck AG subsidiary Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corp has begun series production of the new Fuso Canter at the firm’s plant in Tramagal, Portugal. Located around 150km north-east of Lisbon, the Tramagal plant produces the Canter and its electric sibling the eCanter.

The new model has been developed in Japan, but will be constructed in Europe, with most of its parts coming from around 90 European suppliers, such as the engine, axle components, springs, brakes, tyres, and headlamps.
