By Will Pulson - 1st December 2021

The Philippines – The market for commercial vehicles over 2-tons gvw across the Philippines weakened significantly in the third quarter of 2021, by almost 23% to 17,726 from already weak year-earlier sales of 22,888 units, according to data compiled by www.AsiaMotorBusiness.com from various industry sources.

The third-quarter decline reversed most of the gains made in the first half of the year, following a resurgence in the coronavirus towards the end of the second quarter. The government started easing social and business restrictions in September as the country began to recover from the latest wave of infections caused by the Delta variant.
